The 2026 AlmaLaurea Report

The 2026 AlmaLaurea Report was presented today.

The report examines the performance of approximately 335,000 graduates of 2025 (195,000 bachelor's graduates, 107,000 master's graduates and 33,000 single-cycle graduates) from 81 Italian universities. Among them are 3,765 graduates from UniTrento (2,000 bachelor's graduates, 1,394 master's degrees and 371 single-cycle degrees graduates).

The survey on the employment status of graduates concerned about 700,000 young men and women from 81 universities, including both bachelor's and master's graduates of 2024, 2022 and 2020, who were contacted, respectively, one, three and five years after obtaining the degree. In this case, 7,504 former students from UniTrento were interviewed.

"The 2026 AlmaLaurea Report confirms the excellent educational performance of our graduates. They manage to graduate within the expected duration of studies, at a younger age and with better grades than in the national framework. Another interesting aspect is the origin of our students, with 60.5% coming from outside the region (the Italian average is 24%). The data on the international dimensionm, and particularly the high student mobility, make the the graduates of the University stand out. In fact, this year's report also shows that 23% of UniTrento graduates have participated in a study experience abroad, for the most part through the Erasmus programme. This is more than double the Italian average, which is 10%. There are peaks of 37.4% among students who have obtained a single-cycle master's degree at UniTrento (compared to 15.8% in the rest of Italy)," comments rector Flavio Deflorian.

The rector of the University of Trento then mentioned that about 9 out of 10 students are very satisfied with their experience at UniTrento, which is a very remarkable result. For this survey, AlmaLaurea has chosen to take into account the opinion expressed by the sample on the relationship with the teaching staff, the activities carried out, the study load based on the duration of the course.

Deflorian then reviewed the employment outcomes after graduation revealed by the survey: "The data are also positive in this context. In fact, UniTrento stands out for the employment rate after graduation, which for master's graduates is 84.3% one year after graduation and 94.6% after five years, but also for the net monthly salary, which is 1,627 euros one year after graduation and 2,090 years after five years."
